Lizzy Simunovic has maintained a lifelong connection with the visual arts and has successfully exhibited and sold her work. Her paintings are inspired by a deep love of the outdoors and a desire to capture the uplifting energy of the natural world.

Working primarily in acrylic on stretched canvas, Lizzy creates expressive landscapes using layered brushwork, mixed media and palette knife techniques. Through vibrant colour, texture and dynamic mark-making, she explores the movement of light through the bush, the rhythms of natural forms, and the vitality of water and coastal environments.

Rather than replicating a landscape exactly as it appears, Lizzy’s work focuses on the emotional experience of being immersed in nature; the shifting light through trees, the atmosphere of wild places and the powerful movement of the sea.
